(sigh) so before i got hitched to this polish/italian guy named jason, i was jenny nelson...not too hard of a name to pronounce, sometimes someone would throw a nielsen or a neltson out there, but relatively an uncomplicated name right?...well imagine going from nelson to goretsky and the constant mispronunciation and mutilation of a reasonably easy name to pronounce if you would just revert back to kindergarten and SOUND IT OUT!! let's break this down into some simply lingity:
gor - pronounced gore, like blood and guts you see in the movies; rhymes with four, bore, door...
et - pronounced et, (i got nothin haha); rhymes with let, fret, bet, net, get, pet
sky - pronounced ski, like the downhill variety; rhymes with flea, bee, knee, tree
so if you were thinking about renaming me to gortski, goretlessy, gorestesy, gorletsky, gorski or any other debauchery possibly, you will think again because you have the keys to pronounce like a pro...use them wisely! this message brought to you by jenny's new dictionary of the english language....

heyy jenny. so i just realized that you had this blog thing going on because im really bored with finals and creepin' on people's facebooks..lol. glad to hear everything is going well with amelia..i imagine shes easier to handle than jason.lol..anyhow as to your goretsky pronunciation predicament..well lets just say i cant count the number of times ive been asked if i was related to the hockey player wayne gretski..so as to telling people just tell them to pronounce it like the hockey player even though they are spelled different. haha. cant wait to see you soon!
Goretsky family, yall look great! Who would have thought that Jason, A.K.A. PFC Nasty, could make such a beautiful little girl. You need to call Nave when you get a chance.
