it begins...

ok so i've been telling some people that i would begin this blog so that our "pennsylvania family" would know what's going on in our lives on a regular basis....and honestly if you know me at all you know it takes me about 100 years to do anything because either i forgot or i got busy!...so now that i'm not working too hard at work, i figured i would get this rolling!
i'll just begin by updating everyone as to our lives as of today:
jason has been working at ON Semiconductor in the FAB for a year now (don't ask me what he does, i have no idea, too complicated for me haha!) he is enjoying it! he applied for a job at the Idaho National Labratory (a nuclear site for those who don't know) as a security guard but we are STILL waiting to hear if he got the job or not! he had to put his schooling on hold for the semester due to some transcript issues, but hopefully it will all be worked out for the spring....it's football season again so we all know what that means...if i don't hear something about the steelers once a day i'm in shock!!..september was his final drill with the national guard, but now he's looking into joining the air national guard...i guess he's crazy..haha just kidding, he just loves to serve!...we'll see what comes of it though..
i have been working for the chubbuck police department as a dispatcher since january...it's been a very trying job for me...it can be exciting at times, but it's also very stressful and emotionally draining...i'm grateful to only be a city at a population of 10,000 rather than 100,000 or more!...i once again withdrew from school due to scheduling conflicts with work...i'm hoping to go back in january though...i'm also out of the national guard now... after i had the baby i got a hardship discharge, i don't plan on reenlisting at anytime...
our baby girl was born on march 21st (on good friday) in idaho falls, idaho. she weighed a whopping 8 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long...we named her amelia lynn...amelia because it was a cute name that we loved and it can be shortened to the nickname lia...and lynn after my dear aunt terry who passed away in july of 2007....she had a head full of hair and still does!
amelia will be 6 months old in a couple of days!!...i can't believe how time flies!...she's getting so big and finally getting into the "fun stage"....she has 4 teeth and 2 more still coming...she got her bottom teeth right around 3 1/2 months and then she got her "billy bob tooth"...that's the one next to the front tooth on the top...and then she got her right front tooth a few days ago...her other "billy bob tooth" is about to pop out as well as her left front tooth...so as you can imagine it has been a snotty, whiny, drooly, feverish, cranky last week or so!...other than the teething she is a fantastic baby!...she's been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks old...she can roll over from her belly to her back...she loves to play in her bouncy chair, i'm sure the girl is going to run before she even crawls...she absolutely adores mickey and minnie mouse and all of the dogs at grammie's house! i won't be suprised if her first word is puppy, she talks to the dogs like she is actually say words sometimes...she doesn't like to be left alone in a room for even a split second, and if she wants held you better pick her up NOW!...she loves her toys, but only if there is tag for her to chew on..and she loves men with facial hair!..she's just a great baby!
jason and i finally bought our very first house at the end of august..we just got done with the majority of the painting and we will begin to move our stuff in on saturday!...i will get some pictures up as soon as a can...the house is 4 bed 2 bath with a completely refinished basement...the previous owners had the most interesting choices in paint colors and so we have spent the last 2 weeks painting our hearts out!...the lawn in front and back are dead and my mom has been awesome and actually got the front grass green in some spots!...the backyard however is a sad story...the house is on a 1/3 of an acre so our lawn is quite large!...i can't wait to decorate for christmas and all the holidays!...
well that is about it for the update...now that all of that is out of the way i can blog about anything and everything!.....

isn't she a doll!!!
